David resides in Marion, IL with his wife of 38 years, Cynthia (Cindy). They have four children: David (Hannah Jane) of UK, Hannah (Jon) of Atlanta, Rebekah (Caleb) of Bowling Green, and Madeline (Jon) of Destin. They also have two grandchildren Davey and Janey, also of the UK.
David’s primary employment is with Hurst-Rosche, Inc. where he started in 1990 as a staff architect and now is largest stockholder and Director of Corporate Business Development. His current Board assignments include:
· Hurst-Rosche, Inc., Board of Directors (Chairman)
· State of Illinois Capital Development Board Industry Advisory Committee (past Chairman)
· Illinois Association of School Boards, Service Associates Executive Committee (member)
Some significant accomplishments include leading the development of the federal market sector for Hurst-Rosche and spearheading expansion into Tennessee and Texas, coordinating the administrative response and sustainment during the advent of the COVID-19 epidemic, and assisting in the renaming and rebranding of Hurst-Rosche.

· Illinois American Institute of Architects (Delegate)
Some accomplishments include SIAIA sponsorship of “This Old House” increasing awareness of industry activity in region, championing funding of the first “Kid Architecture” program at SIU-Carbondale that has grown to a nationally recognized movement, and initiating a Chapter Design Awards Program.
He has also served as a guest lecturer at the US Air Force Academy School of Engineering and SIU-C School of Architecture as well as final design jurist for years in the Senior Class Studios.
Julia has been teaching for numerous years---(she says, "too many to count" :-). She has taught courses in mathematics, physics, physical sciences and education at the high school, community college and university levels. Her specialty is in Statistical Process Control and has done training for large and small companies all over the United States and Canada. Julia has also served in a number of administrative positions within the Instructional Division at the college level. Currently, she is the Dean for the Southern Illinois Learning Centers for Missouri Baptist University.
Julia has two daughters--the oldest is an Electrical Engineer and she has twin sons. Her youngest is an Illinois State Trooper Captain--recently named the Commander of District 13-- and has a son who 4 months older than his twin cousins. Her oldest grandson just received an appointment to the US Naval Academy and reported in June, 2021. Her youngest grandson is 6 years old, and she just got her first granddaughter in 2019; Victoria Julia Taylor--she was 2 on Jan 4th. So yes...she is over the moon!!!
Her husband is retired and thinks she has her nose in the computer too often. But he keeps a positive attitude about it and says if she had more time his "honey-do" list would get too long.

She is only a few courses shy of having a BS in Mining Engineering. She says, "I always thought I would finish that after my Ph. D. but seemed to get sidetracked. So I started an online MS in Geosciences. Who knows what I will do when I grow up. :-)"
